Q. What is energy and how is it used for healing?
A. Energy Medicine is a term used for holistic healing therapies that are focused on manipulating “life force” to bring about balance and wellness. Some energy-based modalities involve practitioners using hands-on techniques. Other therapies involve non-touch or absentia (remote) treatments.
It is now an accepted fact that humans are electromagnetic beings. As such, the best possible modality for healing is energy. All illness results from the lowering of body frequencies below that necessary to maintain homeostasis. By raising the frequencies and aligning the various bodies, all the fields come into coherence. That is health.
Deepak Chopra said, “With his famous equation E= mc2, Albert Einstein proved that when you come right down to it everything in the universe is energy. Both in the physical plane of our reality of matter and the abstract reality of our mind are made up of energy patterns. The concept of a universal energy flow is not a new one. The ancient Chinese called this flow chi; the ancient Hindus called it prana. The disciplines that developed in those two cultures – t’ai chi and yoga, respectively- are based on the art of tuning in to the flow of energy and using it to centre the self.”

Q. What is empathic intuition?
A. For me this means the ability to feel what is going on with my animals clients. I was born with a gift that allows me to understand at a deep level the experience my client is having. I have spent years honing this skill with other modalities as well.
Q, What is reiki?
A. Reiki (霊気?, English pronunciation: /ˈreɪkiː/) is a spiritual practice developed in 1922 by Japanese Buddhist Mikao Usui. The teaching was continued and adapted by various teachers. It uses a technique commonly called palm healing as a form of complementary and alternative medicine and is sometimes classified as oriental medicine by some professional bodies. Through the use of this technique, practitioners believe that they are transferring universal energy (reiki) in the form of ki through the palms that allows for self-healing and a state of equilibrium.
Q. What is holistic observation?
A. This is really about observing my clients with more than just my eye sight. I look, listen, feel, smell, and intuite everything. I will not just focus on the obvious issue but look beyond and be open to understanding the issue that could be wrong. It is really also about allowing the animal to see that I will understand if show me what is a problem. Frequently animals will “show” me as they are able where to focus. It is really quite something to witness them do this.
Q. Why love?
A. When I open my heart and compassion the animals can feel my sincerity, this makes it easier for them to pace their trust in me.
Q. What is EFT?
A. EFT (Emotional Freedom Techniques) is a simple yet remarkable healing system that reduces the stress that underlies much disease. It has proven itself successful in many scientific studies. It works on a variety of health issues, psychological problems, and performance issues, even those that have been resistant to other methods.
Research shows that emotional trauma contributes greatly to disease. Clinical trials have shown that EFT is able to rapidly reduce the emotional impact of memories and incidents that trigger emotional distress. Once the distress is reduced or removed, the body can often rebalance itself, and accelerate healing.
Q. What is T-Touch?
A. Tellington TTouch Training offers a gentle approach to the care and training of companion animals, horses, farm animals, exotics and wildlife. It is also an effective and empowering method that provides self-help for humans.
Developed by internationally recognized animal expert, Linda Tellington-Jones, PhD (Hon), this method is based on cooperation and respect for all animals and their people.
The approach in the field of canines is widely accepted as a powerful method to improve behavior, enhance performance and health and teach a dog to learn willingly. It helps establish a deeper rapport and more effective connection and understanding between humans and their animals.
Q. What is Bach Flower Remedies?
A. Bach flower remedies are dilutions of flower material developed by Edward Bach, an English bacteriologist, pathologist and homeopath, in the 1930s. Bach believed that dew found on flower petals retain healing properties of that plant. The remedies are intended primarily for emotional and spiritual conditions, including but not limited to depression, anxiety, insomnia and stress.
Q. What is emotional intelligence?
A. Emotional intelligence for me is the ability to interpret emotions that may be hidden for various reasons. Evolution designed animals to hide illness and issue because if they were seen as weak they may become prey. Usually by the time someone can see a problem it is pretty big and the animal may be very afraid to show their weakness.
Using emotional intelligence allows me to use my intellect in reasoning and connect into my emotions to let me understand the animals situation better.
Here are some other definitions
Perceiving emotions – the ability to detect and decipher emotions in faces, pictures, voices, and cultural artifacts—including the ability to identify one’s own emotions. Perceiving emotions represents a basic aspect of emotional intelligence, as it makes all other processing of emotional information possible.
Using emotions – the ability to harness emotions to facilitate various cognitive activities, such as thinking and problem solving. The emotionally intelligent person can capitalize fully upon his or her changing moods in order to best fit the task at hand.
Understanding emotions – the ability to comprehend emotion language and to appreciate complicated relationships among emotions. For example, understanding emotions encompasses the ability to be sensitive to slight variations between emotions, and the ability to recognize and describe how emotions evolve over time.
Managing emotions – the ability to regulate emotions in both ourselves and in others. Therefore, the emotionally intelligent person can harness emotions, even negative ones, and manage them to achieve intended goals.
Q. What is Tantra?
A. Tantra is the most ancient technology for transformation there is. Classical Tantra teaches the practitioner to harness and utilize energy for various purposes.
Some people have heard that Tantra is a fancy sexual technique. Neo Tantra a western version on Tantra is about sexual connection, and not what I am doing with your pet.
Q. What is remote healing?
A. Remote energy healing is pretty interesting stuff. I tend to be skeptical of most of what I have seen and read about people doing this work, and yet I have been 100 percent successful the times I have worked with it.
There is no reason for it to not be legitimate as energy is not bound by distance. It is really about the practitioners ability to harness and focus energy effectively. I have been trained in several different techniques of moving energy including being gifted with the intuitive ability as a young child to do so.
Q. Do you work on people?
A. Yes, if I like them
Q. Are there any dangerous side effects?
A. The most dangerous side effect is becoming addicted to feeling as great as you and your pet will feel:)
Q. What is a passing over ritual?
A. This is a time set aside for an animal who is dying or to be put to sleep. I work with the animal and owner to have peace and ease of fear and release any emotional issues that need to be released.
Q. Does my pet need to have an issue to come and see you?
A. Nope, you can bring your pet for preventative care, or as a spa day, or any reason at all.
Q. A friend told me you can “see’ issues before the owners know?
A. Frequently I see pain or emotional distress before the average person including the owners. This is based on how I see the animal, their movement, their body posture, their gestures, and other things. Sometimes animals will seek me out because THEY can feel I can help them.
Q. Do you work with vets?
A. Yes and many vets in the area know me. I also refer to vets if I encounter things that need vet care.
Q. I asked my vet about what you do and they told me this was all hogwash?
A. I understand, it is a lot to believe in if you are not familiar with energy work. I say check it out for yourself, your pet will tell you if there is value and as I said, if there is no value, you do not pay, and all you did was waste some time.
To date I have always been paid, even by some of the most hard core skeptics trying to discredit me, who came believing nothing was going to happen to prove value.
These guys become some of my best clients ever.
Q. I run a rescue center, would you come to us and do some work?
A. I would be happy to do so. I can usually work out a discount or donate my time.
Q. I have a friend who runs a wildlife shelter can I pay you to do some time there?
Q. My pet is in the hospital will you visit her there?
A. Yes and that can be very helpful.
